DC Metro loses its mind once again

A Red Line train services Metro Center, the hub of the system.

The upper level platforms at Metro Center.

The Metro!!!! Fuck!!

Metro General Manager
John Catoe is considering replacing the night-owl weekend trains with buses as a way to cut costs and provide more time for the agency to work in stations and on tracks.

My first reaction to this was, "LOL, what?"

Then it turned to "What the hell, man??"

Metro, listen up. YOU CANNOT CUT BACK ON SERVICES WHILE CHARGING US MORE MONEY AT THE SAME TIME. THOSE WARNING BELLS ARE NOT A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION. IT'S A BAD FCKING IDEA!!!

You wanna cut costs? STOP RUNNING OVER PEDESTRIANS AND KILLING PEOPLE ON THE TRACKS!

Yes, let's give drunk people an even better excuse to get behind the wheel! And using the buses as an alternative? Come on now, you know they run on CP time.

Man, this is gonna be one huge LOLERFEST. Can we work on the Cop-A-Block catastrophe first before any more bright ideas??

and as if the world were in harmony, these motherfckers at the MTA are on the news talking about increasing fares next year while they're telling me my train's not running becuz of the tornado that hit this morning. damage? a little water got on the tracks. nothing like service.

but there's good news: SEPTA in Philly is keeping the transfers, rather than charge an exorbitant high base fare with no transfer discount. o how so nice they are!

Oh SEPTA. Don't worry, soon enough they'll be on strike for the one billionth time.
